Comments: | Roadrunner Vinh Long Apr 68-69.
Update... on the rebirth of VL AAF. The paperwork has gone in to the USAF for a D model (Outlaw), still looking for a C (Maverick). The Cobra we have will be Bushwhacker. Our OV-1 Mohawk (restoration nearly complete) will sit at the end of the PSP runway. Artist rendering of the airfield buildings and structures by (Google) Keith Ferris is estimated to be complete Sept 1. Archetect, Electrician, Electronics, people are all standing by. The hangar will be proffesionally erected. Thanks to all the photos you have all sent, "Vinh Long" will look very much as she once did... with sound, and animations. I only hope some of you will be able to attend the opening of the exhibit. We're all pretty excited about the project. Stay well guys! Chuck |
