Comments:My Father was an Army Birddog pilot in 66 and 67. One of the stories he told me about when I was young was one battle he was on when the helicopters went in and the VC were hidden in Elephant grass and multiple got shot down and the mayhem that ensued. He passed away in 2017 and I started to investigate on the WEB his stories. The Battle of Easter Sunday is the only event I find that resembles that story and is plausible based on his time in country and his AO. I will leave it at that because I don't want to pre-load anyone's memory and inadvertently bias them toward "Yeah, that was your Dad" if you know what I mean. My questions is, does anyone that was in the battle that day remember anything about an Army FAC being there that day?

Comments:Came across some of my father, Michael Miley, old stuff cleaning out my place. My father passed away in 2011. He was a SP5 member of the 175th N CO. He was in Vietnam from, I believe, December 1966- Sept 1967. I have bags of pictures he took while in the service. If anyone would like to see any of them, I'd be happy to send pictures of them.

Comments:Looking for men who served in the 175th at Ving Long, Vietnam. April 8, 1967. The 175th was training pilots from the 227 Combat Assault Battalion. The night of April 8, Cpt. Jeff Goodin, from the 227 who was training was hit and was peppered with shattered metal and plexiglass that caused wounds in his right forearm. He has a letter form Cpt. Jon R. Hellagas, Flight Surgeon who treated his wounds. Cpt. Goodin refused a Purple Heart at that time and would like to try and document his injuries' and request his Purple Heart. If anyone can help please contact me at jan.lentz@mail.house.gov. Thank you very much for your time and assistance.
