ROUNDUP R2K8!

Welcome VLOA members, family and friends to the 2008 Roundup. After four consective VLOA Reunions in Branson, San Antonio, Fort Rucker, and Pigeon Forge we are now setting our eyes on our get together in Hershey, PA. At Pigeon Forge we selected Las Vegas, NV, but with the loss of our beloved Bud Allie we had to regroup and focus on another site.  Joe Clelan accepted the role of coordinator and Hershey, PA as the new site.

Planning and coordination is well on its way for an adventurous, exciting 4 days of activities and fun filled events for everyone.   Hershey is located in the midst of many historical sites. Gettysburg Battle Field, Lancaster, PA center of PA Dutch country, just to mention a couple. If time permits, don't forget the VF outlets in Reading, PA, Sight & Sound Theaters in Lancaster, PA, the Viet Nam Memorial in Wash., DC, as well as the other great sites in Washington DC.  You may want to include a short trip to the Casinos in Atlantic City, NJ.  In addition to a potential visit to these locations all the the now familiar activities will be on the itinerary, like the Thursday afternoon registration, evening reception and buffett plus the kick-off of the silent auction. Ole & Mary Thornton have accepted the duties of conducting another successful silent auction. Our Saturday business meeting and Chaplain John Doyle's Sunday morning service as well Ernie Isbell, the Master of Ceremonies for our closing banquet Sunday evening are all must attend events..

Your latest VLOA Newsletter, Oct-Dec, Fourth Issue 2007 contains the itinerary, time and specific details of all activities for the roundup.  A registration form is also available in the newsletter.  Please fill out and send initial payment (50%) by 1 May 08 to Charles Bouton, 2013 SW Providence PL. Port St. Lucie, FL 34953. You may contact Nell Moist at myranell@digitalexp.com if you do not have a copy of the form or mail her at 3120 Hwy73, Marianna, FL 32446.  I urge all of you to make the decision to come to Roundup R2K8 to help celebrate, and commemorate, more than 44 years of closeness and shared friendship among those who served together so well, so far away, so long ago.
